Our Treatments

We offer cutting-edge services in regenerative and lifestyle medicine, emphasizing conservative and minimally invasive approaches.

Traditional Pain Management Treatments

These include a variety of approaches aimed at alleviating pain and restoring function.

  • Interventional Procedures Performed in our Office

  • Braces

  • Medications

  • Physical Therapy

  • Typically Covered by Insurance

Platlet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

PRP therapy involves drawing a patient's blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and injecting the enriched plasma into degenerated tissues. This promotes healing by utilizing the body’s natural growth factors.

  • Joint Pain

  • Tendon Injuries

  • Spine (Disc) Pain

  • Hair Loss

  • Skin Rejuvenation

Preventative Screening for Your Health

Early detection saves lives. Our preventative screening procedures help identify cardiac and neurological conditions before symptoms arise, allowing for timely intervention and better outcomes. Through advanced diagnostic techniques, we can catch potential issues early—giving you peace of mind and a proactive path to better health.

Our Procedures

Epidural Steroid Injections

Epidural steroid injections involve delivering corticosteroid medications into the spinal canal, which reduce inflammation to treat various types of painful conditions, such as lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica and "pinched nerves.

Kyphoplasty & Vertebroplasty

Osteoporosis or trauma may lead to compression fractures of the spine, which can be very painful and debilitating. Kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty are minimally-invasive procedures that involve injecting a special "bone cement" into the fractured vertebra to seal and repair the fracture, restore vertebral body height, alleviate pain and improve mobility.

Minimally-Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD)

Spinal stenosis is narrowing of the spinal canal, which can compress the nerves and result in pain affecting the lower back and legs, especially when standing or walking, thus impairing mobility as well. MILD is a minimally-invasive alternative to traditional lumbar decompression spine surgery in which specialized instruments are used to remove excess ligament tissue in the spinal canal, thereby restoring space and relieving pressure around the spinal nerves to alleviate pain and improve mobility.

Facet Joint Injections

The facet joints are small joints located throughout all levels of the spine. Just like other joints in our body, the facet joints can develop arthritis and become a source of pain in the back and neck. We can diagnose and treat this arthritic pain by injecting the affected facet joints with anesthetic and steroid medications.

Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA), also known as rhizotomy, uses heat generated by radio waves to target and destroy specific nerve fibers that carry pain signals. This minimally invasive procedure is often performed after facet injections and nerve blocks to provide long-lasting relief of pain affecting the back, neck and joints.

Trigger point injections

Trigger points are painful bands of tight myofascial fibers, or knots, that cause pain within the muscle tissue. We can inject medications directly into these trigger points to alleviate pain and improve mobility.

Sympathetic Nerve Blocks

The sympathetic nervous system works in the background to control the automatic functions of our body, but sometimes these nerves malfunction causing debilitating neuropathic pain, often affecting the limbs. Sympathetic nerve blocks are injections that target these malfunctioning nerves to treat various painful conditions such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome ("CRPS," formally known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy or "RSD"), peripheral vascular disease, and chronic pain of the abdomen and pelvis.

Spinal Cord Stimulation & Neuromodulation

Spinal cord stimulation is an advanced, minimally-invasive procedure to help manage chronic pain. It involves placing a thin, flexible wire into the space around the spinal cord, which delivers mild electrical impulses that disrupt the transmission of pain signals. The procedure is first performed as a "test-drive," by placing the wires temporarily and connecting them to an externally-worn battery for 3-7 days. If this trial run is successful and provides satisfactory pain relief, the patient is then referred to a surgeon for minimally-invasive implantation of a permanent lead and battery.

Peripheral Nerve Blocks

Nerve blocks involve the injection of medications around specific nerves to block pain signals from various parts of the body. This procedure can help in diagnosing the source of pain and provide relief for numerous conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic joint pain, shingles, rib pain, headaches and many others.

Knee, Shoulder, and Other Joint Injections

Injections for the knee, shoulder and other joints involve administering medications directly into the affected joint space. Such medications include steroids, hyaluronic acid (gel) and PRP. These treatments can reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and improve joint function.

Botox Injections for Pain

Botulinum toxin (or "Botox") injections can be used to treat certain pain-related conditions, such as chronic migraines and muscle spasticity. Botox provides pain relief by blocking the chemical signals between nerves and muscles, which causes the muscles to relax.

Fluoroscopic & Ultrasound-Guided Procedures

The vast majority of our procedures are performed with real-time image-guidance, using either fluoroscopy (X-ray) or ultrasound, to ensure precise placement of the needle and medication. This technique enhances the accuracy and effectiveness of our treatments.
